ESEAS will help to identify\u00a0\u201cat-risk\u201d\u00a0students and provide tools for administrators, advisors, and faculty to intervene to ensure student success.<\/p>\n<p>The objective is for ESEAS to help increase student retention and facilitate a better transition into the labor market.<\/p>\n<p>Research shows that student persistence can be improved by focusing on three key retention areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Early Identification<\/li>\n<li>Intervention<\/li>\n<li>Student Engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Goal of ESEAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To catch students who are \u201cat-risk\u201d and intervene before they fail and get discouraged (which can lead to lack of confidence, decrease in self-esteem, and dropping out).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Features of ESEAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify \u201cat-risk\u201d students<\/li>\n<li>Track students&#8217; interactions with advisors<\/li>\n<li>View academic history<\/li>\n<li>Enhance student and staff relationships<\/li>\n<li>Schedule appointments and follow up<\/li>\n<li>Ensure secure communication and confidentiality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Services Provided<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student retention analysis<\/li>\n<li>Enrollment management analysis<\/li>\n<li>Student trend analysis<\/li>\n<li>Tracking student cohorts<\/li>\n<li>Report on persistence<\/li>\n<li>Course analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Ecumenical Student Early Alert System<\/strong>\u00a0is intended to be a robust,\u00a0campus-wide\u00a0tool built to focus on retaining students at Ecumenical Junior College.
